Dear Principals and Administrators,
Going into this legislative session one of our top priorities was increased security for our yeshivas and schools. With anti Semitism on the rise, nothing was more important that securing our schools.
While the proposed budget allocated $45 million, or approximately $100 per student we asked for an increase to bring New York closer to our neighboring state of New Jersey which allocates $175 per student.

This week we received exciting news!!!
The Assembly in its One House Budget, acceded to the requests of Agudath Israel and its coalition partners, and allocated $60 million for the Nonpublic School Safety Equipment (NPSE) Grant , a 33% increase!!
But this is not the end. The final budget must still be negotiated before the end of the month.
Contact your legislator TODAY and ask them to keep this proposed increase in the final budget.
