Zahav, Agudas Yisroel’s resource and referral center for seniors, is excited to announce the release of an updated and expanded Senior Guidebook.

The 2024 edition of the guidebook features an updated list of providers, services, and programs available to seniors and includes information that will benefit Seniors in both New Jersey and New York.

New Jersey and New York are home to some of America’s largest Orthodox Jewish communities. As the Orthodox communities in these states continue to grow, many more parents and grandparents are moving to the tri-state area to be closer to their children and grandchildren.

Moving to a new state always comes with new challenges – government offices and programs run differently between states – and when seniors are navigating the benefits available to them for the first time, the difficulty is only compounded.

“Zahav is just over a year old, and already we have assisted close to 800 seniors and their dedicated families across the country,” said Mrs. Hadassah Waldman, director of Senior services at Zahav. “We hope that by creating a one-stop resource for information about resources and eligibility, seniors in New Jersey and New York will be able to receive the care they deserve.”
