On Thursday morning, Agudath Israel of America’s New Jersey office co-hosted a state-wide conference call with Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) to discuss concerns with the Iranian nuclear deal. On very short notice, over 600 people from across the state called in and had the opportunity to hear first-hand from the senator. Senator Booker was very understanding of the Jewish community’s concerns and expressed that he, too, has many concerns with the deal.
Agudath Israel was joined by the Orthodox Union, AIPAC, and the N.J. State Association of Jewish Federations in hosting the call. All of the hosts strongly encouraged Senator Booker to oppose the deal.
