On Monday, an Agudath Israel delegation of Baltimore community leaders met with Senator Ben Cardin (D-MD) in his office to discuss their concerns with the JCPOA – Iran Nuclear Deal. As the ranking member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Senator Cardin’s impending decision is looked at as crucial for the other undecided members of his party. The group openly shared the multitude of complex problems that have been highlighted with the deal as currently structured, and pressed the Senator to oppose the deal in its current disconcerting form. Senator Cardin is likely to make his decision ahead of Congress’ return to session.
Agudath Israel continues to urge its constituents to contact their members of Congress and ask them to oppose the Iran nuclear deal. For more information, click here.
