This Sunday the Agudah Voting Project held voter registration drives in Far Rockaway and Queens ahead of the NYC mayoral elections. The Agudah Voting Project was established to ensure that the voice of the Orthodox Jewish community is represented at the ballot box, working in close partnership with yeshivos, shuls, and community organizations. Through registration drives, educational campaigns, and outreach, the project has built a strong record of helping thousands of community members prepare to vote, ensuring that our collective voice is heard in all elections.

The day began in Far Rockaway, where Agudah staff and volunteers gathered at the White Shul for a voter registration drive. New voters reflecting a broad cross-section of the community eager to take part in the democratic process were registered on-site. The effort was conducted in close partnership with JCCRP and KlalVote, and their collaboration was critical in making the drive such a success.

In the afternoon, the focus shifted to Kew Gardens Hills, where Agudah partnered with Chazaq, the Queens Jewish Alliance, and the Alliance of Bukharian Americans. Together, the groups registered new voters outside Keser Torah. A highlight of the day was a visit from Assemblyman Sam Berger, who stopped by to show his support for the initiative and encourage community participation. Community members of all backgrounds came out to register, underscoring the wide appeal of the effort and the importance of ensuring every eligible voter is ready to cast their ballot.

Agudah expresses its gratitude to our community partners for their collaboration. With continued efforts like these, the Agudah Voting Project looks forward to building on this momentum and ensuring that the community’s voice remains strong.
