Agudath Israel of America welcomes President Donald J. Trump’s announcement today of a ceasefire between Israel and Iran. This announcement comes after 12 days of military conflict which saw the United States work with Israel to leave Iran’s nuclear program severely damaged and limited Iran’s future ability to use missiles to sow terror and death in Israel and across the region. The world is a safer place today.
We mourn the loss of dozens of innocent lives in Israel and pray for the thousands of wounded. We ask “He who makes peace in His heights” that He “make peace upon us and all of Israel.”
