Agudath Israel of Missouri commends Governor Mike Kehoe for announcing two significant steps to expand school choice opportunities for families across the state.
First, Governor Kehoe announced a $10 million increase in funding for the MOScholars Program, raising total program funding from $50 million last year to $60 million. In addition, the Governor committed to Missouri opting into the Federal Scholarship Tax Credit.
“We appreciate Governor Kehoe’s leadership in championing school choice and empowering students throughout Missouri to access educational options that best meet their individual needs,” said Mrs. Suri Botuck, Director of Government Affairs for Agudath Israel of Missouri. “These actions represent a meaningful win for families across our state.”
“Through the MOScholars Program, Agudath Israel of Missouri’s Education Assistance Organization awarded nearly $2.5 million in scholarships to families in the St. Louis Jewish community during the current school year alone,” said Hillel Anton, Director of Agudath Israel of Missouri’s Education Assistance Organization. “We are encouraged by Governor Kehoe’s decision to expand the program and look forward to helping even more students in the year ahead.”
