Azkarah for Novominsker Rebbe ZT

 

The Agudah will be convening an azkarah in memory of the Novominsker Rebbe ZTVKL, Rabbi Yaakov Perlow, Rosh Agudas Yisroel. It will be held this Tuesday evening, April 28th, at 7:30 pm EDT. More details forthcoming.

 

Opening Up America

 

President Trump has announced Guidelines for Opening Up America; it involves a three-phased approach based on the advice of public health experts. These steps will help state and local officials reopen their economies by getting people back to work while continuing to prioritize American lives. Click here to see the full guidelines.

 

Additional Stimulus Package

 

This week Congress passed an additional coronavirus rescue package of nearly $500 billion that would deliver emergency aid to small businesses and hospitals. The bill would provide an additional $321 billion for the Paycheck Protection Program, the small business rescue fund that ran out of money last week. The package would also provide another $60 billion in economic disaster loans for small businesses, $75 billion in emergency relief for hospitals and $25 billion to ramp up coronavirus testing. The bill now goes to President Trump, who is expected to sign it.

Due to the unprecedented impact of COVID-19 on New York City’s workforce, the City of New York has developed a list of resources for those who may be unemployed due to COVID-19 and for those seeking additional economic assistance. Additionally, ACCESSNYC is a city-run portal for NYC residents to determine their eligibility for more than 30 economic programs and benefits.

For those who may have lost health insurance coverage due to a COVID-19 job loss, the New York State Health Insurance Exchanges have remained open where you can purchase low cost quality health insurance for individuals or families. Click here to apply.
