Agudath Israel and the Boro Park Jewish Community Council (BPJCC) are pleased to announce that this Thursday, October 1, they will be hosting a free mask giveaway in Boro Park. Between 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm, Boro Park residents who come to the BPJCC offices at 1310 46th Street, Brooklyn, will be able to receive boxes of masks to help curtail the spread of COVID-19. 400,000 masks were donated by a concerned community resident, and will help protect against infected aerosol particles per CDC guidelines. Lowering infection rates will help us keep our yeshivos, shuls, and businesses open.
Masks will be available until supplies run out. People who come will receive two boxes per person; people representing schools, shuls, or stores, will receive ten boxes. Institutions who need more masks can reach out to the BPJCC to reserve greater quantities by calling 718-972-6600, extension 0.
“May Hashem continue to protect us,” said Avi Greenstein, BPJCC’s CEO, “and we need to help with our hishtadlus.”
“Please join us,” said Rabbi Labish Becker, Executive Director of the Agudah. “This is a proven way to help slow transmission of this disease. Let’s do our part to help.”
