Police officers in District 1 were thrilled when Agudah of Colorado coordinated and worked with the West Side community leadership and over 30 community members to bring a Thanksgiving lunch down to the station. The first of an annual tradition, the lunch was a way to express heartfelt gratitude to the police for their hard work and especially for being on call and away from their families on a national holiday like Thanksgiving. The work of these brave and selfless officers is critical to the safety and well-being of our communities, and we are grateful for their service.

Special thanks to Rabbi Mordechai Fleisher, Rav of Cong. Zera Avraham, and Rabbi Ahron Y. Wasserman, CEO of Yeshiva Toras Chaim, for helping arrange this memorable event, and to the West Side families who contributed a dish or two to the potluck.
