Dear New York City Child Care Providers,
Beginning May 1, 2021, all existing Article 47 child care staff who were cleared and fingerprinted in either 2014 or 2015 and who are actively employed are required to undergo Comprehensive Background Checks (CBC) between May and July, 2021. All CBC steps, including fingerprinting, and completion of the A-Series Packet and State Central Registry Clearance, must be submitted by July 1, 2021. Staff may continue working while undergoing the CBC process.
Fingerprinting will be available for staff that were previously fingerprinted in 2014 or 2015 at IdentoGO Centers. Individuals fingerprinted after 2015 will undergo CBC processing at a later date; details will be shared when available.
To make an IdentoGO fingerprinting appointment, visit https://uenroll.identogo.com/. Enter the Service Code 157XX3. You must use this Service Code to avoid confusion.
