Dear New York City Principals and Administrators,

New York City requires that all nonpublic schools have a Fire and Emergency Drill Conductor who holds a Certificate of Fitness. Until now, this meant that yeshiva principals needed to obtain the F-07 Certificate of Fitness, which was geared towards general building safety. Upon the request of Agudath Israel and other nonpublic school representatives, the FDNY developed the D-20 Certificate of Fitness to address the key responsibilities for Fire and Emergency Drill Conductors in nonpublic schools. The FDNY has authorized Agudath Israel of America to conduct the D-20 training course and administer the D-20 exam.

We are looking into conducting a D-20 training course and exam on Monday, July 12, 2021 and are trying to gauge interest from schools for the course on this date.

If you would be interested in taking the course if it were to take place on July 12, please fill out the survey below.

As always, feel free to reach out to [email protected] with any questions.
