Dear NYS Principals and Administrators,

As previously reported, schools that are planning on receiving Emergency Assistance for Nonpublic School (EANS) funding must submit a Letter of Intent to the New York State Education Department NYSED by March 17.

NYSED has sent a clarification regarding question 11a on the Letter of Intent.

The question asks:

What is the estimated decline in revenue to your school as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic from the 19-20 to 20-21 school year?

NYSED has decided to look at the decline in revenue from school year 2018-2019 through school year 2020-2021. If you have not yet submitted the LOI, please use these dates.

If you have already submitted your letter of intent and would like to adjust your answer to question 11a, you can send NYSED an email at [email protected].
