Last week, Rabbi Eliezer Gewirtzman, leading member of Chayim Aruchim, Agudath Israel’s Center for Culturally Sensitive Health Advocacy and Counseling, visited Chicago. He met with the administration of Agudath Israel of Illinois to explain the critical services offered by Chayim Aruchim. Also present were Rabbi Yisroel Matzliach, director of the Chicago Center for Torah and Chesed’s Refoeno Health Care Society and Simcha Frank, founder of Hatzalah Chicago. The meeting was both productive and enlightening. Agudath Israel of Illinois hopes to collaborate with all segments of the community and its leadership in offering education, counseling, resources and assistance in the area of healthcare advocacy and Jewish law.
