For more than two decades, the Agudah’s Summer of Torah women’s lecture series has been an integral part of the vacation season.  Part of the Torah Projects Commission of Agudath Israel of America, the biweekly shiurim are held at the Bais Medrash of Regency Estates in Woodridge and have drawn crowds of close to 300 women, who come to expand both their social and hashkafic horizons while enjoying a delicious brunch.

As always, this year’s lectures will feature an all-star lineup of speakers including Charlie Harary, Inspirational Speaker; Rabbi Yehuda Yonah Rubinstein, International Lecturer and Magid Shiur, Yeshiva Sh’or Yoshuv; Rabbi Ephraim E. Shapiro, Rav, Congregation Shaaray Tefillah of North Miami Beach; and Rabbi Zecharia Wallerstein, Founder, Ohr Naava Women’s Torah Center.  The program, which starts on July 11th,  begins promptly at 10:45 AM with a suggested donation of $18 per lecture, or $65 for the full series of four lectures.

Program coordinator Mrs. Fayge Ackerman said that the feedback she has gotten from participants has been overwhelming, with one participant sending her a card telling her that she repeats the speeches after each lecture when she returns to her bungalow colony.

“The ripple effect from just one lecture can be amazing,” said Mrs. Ackerman.  “People wait all year for this program.  Women tell me that the program makes their summer and keeps them inspired throughout the summer months.”
