We need your help – now! —

From: Rabbi Chaim Dovid Zwiebel, Executive Vice President —

The fate of the Education Investment Tax Credit – an initiative that would generate new sources of support for the yeshiva community, by allowing tax credits for contributions to scholarship funds for needy children in yeshivos and other nonpublic schools – is likely to be decided in the next two weeks, when the New York State budget for 2015-16 is set to be finalized.

Now is the time for a final push to get EITC past the finish line.  Our legislative leaders have called upon the community to reach out to Governor Cuomo, by calling his office and asking him to live up to his commitment to ensure passage of the EITC.

That’s where you come in:  We are respectfully asking you to please reach out to your parent body asking them to participate in this advocacy campaign.  We have prepared a “Dear Parent” letter (click here) which you may send home to your parent body as is, or which you may wish to put on your own school’s letterhead.

With your help, we can make this happen!
