Dear Friends,
Governor Ron DeSantis signed the Florida 2025 budget this morning, and we are extremely proud and excited to share that—with tremendous siyata d’Shmaya—we successfully secured a $3.5 million appropriation for Agudath Israel of Florida in this year’s state budget. This funding will enable Agudath Israel to partner with participating schools to support parents with affordable transportation services for their children.
We are deeply grateful to Senator Ana Maria Rodriguez and Representative Demi Busatta for sponsoring this appropriation and shepherding it through the legislative process. We extend our tremendous gratitude to Speaker Daniel Perez, Senate President Ben Albritton, and Governor Ron DeSantis for their extraordinary support and commitment to our community.
This $3.5 million appropriation allows us to continue providing busing transportation as we did last year. Baruch Hashem, last year our funding supported thousands of students and benefited children at Yeshiva Toras Emes, Yeshiva Elementary School, Bais Yaakov Miami, Shaarei Binah Girls High School, Yeshiva Ohr HaTorah, Cheder Neimus HaTorah, Orlando Torah Academy, Torah Academy of Boca Raton, and Cheder Chabad.
The feedback from school administrators and parents has been extraordinary. Thanks to these efforts, we have witnessed tremendous benefits—increased safety for children, enhanced campus security, educational advantages, greater convenience for parents, and expanded access to school and employment opportunities.
We couldn’t be more thrilled to have secured this funding again, and we look forward to continuing to serve our community.
