For over 40 years Fresh Start Training Program has been providing personalized career training for displaced homemakers in New York who want to re-enter the workforce. The personalized training includes individual career guidance, resume preparation assistance, job readiness training, and job placement assistance.

Orientation and Workshop for employment as a 1:1 Paraprofessional

Free Workshops for eligible participants to prepare for employment as a 1:1 Paraprofessional in Charter, Private and Parochial schools. Training is open to:

NYC residents with a High School diploma or equivalent who have had a loss of income due to:

  •  Widow
  • Divorce
  • Separation
  • Spouse’s loss of income

AND to:

  • SNAP Recipients
  • Single parents of minor children receiving Public Assistance.
