Dear NYC Principals and Administrators,
The Generation of Funds survey in the Non-Public School Information System (“NPSIS”) has opened for schools to indicate students who are eligible to receive free or reduced-price meals. If you have any questions or need additional support completing this survey, please do not hesitate to contact [email protected].
This survey serves as an opportunity for schools to potentially generate federal Title I funds for students in need of various supplemental services for the 2023-24 school year. The deadline to submit responses is Friday, December 30, 2022 in order for school administrators to review entries in the NPSIS roster and make any necessary updates for the students entered.
Please note, students entered from the prior school year survey automatically rollover for the current years’ survey. Therefore, NPSIS will reflect check marks next to those student’s name. Additionally:
- If the student still qualifies for free or reduced-price meals, no changes are required.
- If the student no longer qualifies for free or reduced-price meals, please deselect the checkmark in the survey.
For further information regarding the Federal Income Guidelines, see here.

Registering your students in NPSIS directly affects the funding available to your school and all NYC yeshivos. Therefore, we strongly encourage you to actively upload your student rosters in NPSIS, as doing so could potentially result in other grant opportunities administered using NPSIS data. You should also confirm your primary and secondary contact information In NPSIS.
As always, feel free to reach out to [email protected] with any questions.
