Are the kids at home? They’ve learned, davened, and eaten, but what now? There are many resources available, and the Agudah is pleased to share that Pirchei, Bnos, and Masmidei HaSiyum are all active in working to support our kids (and their parents!) in this unprecedented time.
Due to the coronavirus situation, Masmidei HaSiyum has launched a special extra round of Masmidei HaSiyum for all schools! Masmidei is announcing new winners every few hours to keep the learning momentum strong, as well as exciting weekly raffles for many prizes.
The tremendous koach of the Torah of tinokos shel beis raban is sure to be a great zchus for Klal Yisroel during these uncertain times.
This round of Masmidei HaSiyum began only Monday, March 16, and will run for the next two weeks (this may be extended). Seventy-eight yeshivos and over 20,000 boys are already signed up – is your son one of them? If you’d like him to be, ask your yeshiva’s administration to reach out to us to register the yeshiva for this exciting program, by emailing us at Register@masmideihasiyum.org, or calling 347.201.0270.
Pirchei Agudas Yisroel
Pirchei’s phone line works at all hours of the day or night! Have your elementary school age son call 718-663-0212 for hours of great Torah programming: Chizuk, limud haTorah, great stories, hashkafah, halachah, navi and mishnayos. If you’re a Rebbe who wants to record shiur or lesson for your class, call the number and leave a message in the message box.
Bnos Agudas Yisroel
Bnos girls of all ages are engaged even in the midst of school closings! Our high school and above age BBC girls are no longer allowed to visit seniors in their homes and nursing homes, but they’ve been calling, with a friendly word and to make sure that their needs are taken care of. Would your daughter like to volunteer to keep company – over the phone – with these seniors? Call Mrs. Chana Baila Hass – 347-414-0150, or email email@example.com. And thank you to those who are already involved!
And for our elementary school age girls, Bnos has started a new hotline, with a midah of the week, stories, a Tehillim contest (girls, enter raffles to win prizes!), Parshah riddles (more raffles!), “Super-duper-hard” Parshah riddles for older girls – you can get help on those!), and featuring a different Bnos city each week! Call in here 720-721-4724, don’t wait! (With a special thank you to Mrs. Shuli Bengigi, Bnos adviser from Miami, for making this happen!)
Lastly, Bnos runs a pen pal program late every year for girls in grades 2-8. This year, because of the current situation, we started it now – and dozens of girls have already signed up. Do you want to make friends with another Bnos girl somewhere else in the country? Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with your age, city, and contact info – we’ll set you up with a girl from a different city – you’ll call and write her, and make a new friend! (And we appreciate Mrs. Devora Rich for her help with this program.)
