In a series of Meet and Greets hosted by Agudath Israel of Colorado, community members had the opportunity to meet with candidates in the upcoming mayoral race of the April 4th Municipal Elections. 

These meetings paved the way for strong relationships and opened the door for ongoing communication with the potential next mayor of Denver. They also provided a valuable forum for Rabbonim, lay leaders, and community members to engage with each candidate and understand their position on issues that directly affect our community. 

The first Meet and Greet took place on Sunday, March 19th, at the West Side Kollel with candidate Kelly Brough. It was followed by a meeting with candidate Mike Johnston on Tuesday, March 21st at the Ort residence, and finally with candidate State Senator Chris Hansen on Wednesday, March 29th at Peaks Healthcare Consulting. 

“The feedback we’ve heard about the Meet and Greets from both the candidates and community participants already shows a real sense of connection through these events”, says Rabbi Kaplan. “Community members were thankful to experience firsthand how accessible and impactful building relationships can be.”
