The Moetzes Gedolei HaTorah consists of revered senior rabbinic leaders in the community. They convene on a regular basis to provide guidance and oversee the activities of Agudath Israel of America. Issues of major importance for Klal Yisroel are brought to them for deliberation. Their role has been crucial to the development of a vibrant and growing Torah community.
Some recent guidance includes protecting the mesorah from attack, reacting to new cultural norms, advocating for Jews in Eretz Yisroel and worldwide, and promoting the spiritual well-being of our youth. Their decisions provide the spiritual basis and moral compass for the many activities of Agudath Israel throughout the year, especially for issues which affect the entire community.
