Please see below for important deadlines related to the National School Lunch Program (NSLP). For additional information about these deadlines, please click here.
For new programs:
- June 30: This is the absolute deadline for New School Food Authorities (SFAs) and New Recipient Agencies (RAs). This can be a lengthy process so we recommend you begin early. The application can be found here.
- June 30: Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) application deadline. For more information on CEP, please see our prior memo.
For existing programs:
- Prior to beginning of school year: If contracting with a Food Service Management Company (FSMC), submit fully executed food service management company contracts or extensions for approval for the upcoming school year. Use the appropriate checklist and Power Point training to ensure that required documents are submitted.
