Prior to serving in his current position, Shlomo worked as a reporter for multiple news organizations, including Hamodia, Mishpacha Magazine and The New York Times, where he earned the respect of politicians throughout the state, including state Legislators and the governor’s administration.
As a reporter, Shlomo gained a thorough knowledge and understanding of the inner workings of Trenton, a crucial tool which he now uses to benefit the Klal through his work with Agudath Israel.

Advocacy
Legal Work
The New Jersey Office has successfully counseled various communities in amicably resolving zoning issues that were alleged to have violated RLUIPA, the landmark federal law that allows houses of worship to avoid discriminatory restrictions.
Education
The New Jersey office of Agudath Israel remains committed to working with the state legislature to providing a robust special education program for needy students. Agudah is proud to have successfully led the effort to increase the per-pupil funding for special education in 2021, the first such increase in a decade.
Anti-Semitism
The New Jersey office of Agudath Israel is vigilant in its mission to ensure Orthodox Jews are not discriminated against. The office is currently engaged in litigation against Jackson Township, New Jersey for its alleged violations of RLUIPA. The United States Department of Justice has filed parallel lawsuits against the Township as well. The New Jersey office has worked together with the Attorney General’s office to have hateful speech removed from online platforms and continues to work against anti-Semitism in New Jersey.
