Councilnan Rory Lancman Addressing the COPE Graduates

This past week, fifty six students successfully completed the COPE Education Services Bachelor of Science Accounting program that allows them to sit for the New York State Uniform CPA exam. At the graduation services held in Brooklyn, Rabbi Shmuel Lefkowitz, Vice-President of Agudath Israel Community Services introduced Councilman Chaim Deutsch and Councilman Rory Lancman, both of whom praised the students for their successful accomplishment of this rigorous program.

Speaker after speaker praised the students, many of whom hold down full-time jobs as well as familial responsibilities, for their diligence and perseverance. Rabbi Paysach Krohn, guest speaker at the Monday evening event, and a proud father-in-law and grandfather of two of the graduates, stressed the importance of students being role-models in the community for integrity and honesty. Rabbi Daniel Baumann, Director of COPE Education Services, made note of the fact that while COPE’s professionalism and excellent teaching staff are without parallel, COPE prides itself in providing students an atmosphere that never compromises in the Torah values that are vital to our community. All students attending this program have also completed the COPE short-term Junior Accounting program. The next cycle for men will be starting in early February.
