Preparing for the Upcoming Security Grants

Dear Principals and Administrators,

The federal Nonprofit Security Grant Program and NY State Hate Crimes Grant will most likely be opening in May. Now is the time to prepare for these grants so that you are ready to apply as soon as they open.

  • You must be prequalified before applying for the grants, and it’s a process that can take several weeks. The Community Security Initiative (CSI) will be hosting a webinar tomorrow, March 20 at 1 pm to assist with prequalification. Click here to register.

  • You must have a risk assessment done by a qualified person/company. The Community Security Initiative (CSI) offers free security assessments to Jewish organizations located in NYC, Long Island, Westchester, Rockland, and the Greater Hudson Valley. To apply for a professional assessment, click here.

CSI has a very helpful resource page here with comprehensive information on security grants.

As always, feel free to reach out to [email protected] with any questions.
