2022 is a very important election year in New York. Elections will be held for every statewide office including governor, attorney general, and state comptroller. In addition, every congressional, state senate and assembly seat will also be on the ballot.

Our community has faced many challenges over these past few years. Anti semitism is on the rise, and many in our community feel personally targeted. And who can forget during the dark days of COVID, how our community was singled out for harsh treatment in the media and in government circles. And once again we are dealing with the specter of government intrusion into our yeshivas.

Our team in Albany and City Hall are out there daily fighting for our community, making sure we get our fair share including funding for our Yeshivas and schools as well as for the preservation of the integrity of our chinuch against an onslaught brought on by enemies of our way of life.

But the biggest power we have to preserve our interests is our ability to vote. It is clear that communities that vote are communities that are heard. Politicians look clearly at who is voting. The ability of our askanim to deliver is directly tied to our voting power. And this year due to a court decision there will actually be two primaries one on June 28th for statewide offices and assembly and another one in August for congressional and state senate seats.

And so, we implore you to make sure you are registered to vote and then to actually go out and vote.

The deadline to register for the June 28th primary is June 3rd.

Whether you vote absentee, by early voting, or on Primary Day, the most important thing is just MAKE SURE AND VOTE!!

Our future depends on it.
