Agudath Israel of America’s Rockland Regional Office hosted over 30 elected officials, from the federal level to county, town, village, and school board leadership, alongside close to 200 local residents at the fourth annual Legislative Meet & Greet at the Paramount Country Club in Rockland County.
The program was opened by Rabbi Chaim Dovid Zwiebel, Executive Vice President of Agudath Israel of America, Rabbi Shragi Greenbaum, director of the Agudah’s Rockland Regional Office, and Rabbi Yeruchim Silber, Agudah’s director for New York Government Relations. The program continued with remarks from numerous elected officials representing communities across the county, as well as a special video message from Congressman Mike Lawler.
Following the conclusion of the formal program, many participants continued discussions. These conversations provided an opportunity for community members to engage directly and build relationships with their representatives on issues of local importance in a respectful and constructive setting.
“We were encouraged to see so many community members take advantage of this opportunity to speak with their leaders,” said Rabbi Greenbaum. “A heartfelt thank you to the officials who stayed and engaged so openly, and to all the residents who made the evening so impactful.”
