New York State Education Law Section 3635 requires that nonpublic school students submit a written request for transportation before every upcoming school year. The deadline is April 1st.
- The school must be within 15 miles of the student’s residence to receive transportation services.
- If your child is graduating 8th grade and has not yet finalized where they will be going for high school/Mesivta, send in an application for the school they will most likely attend. You can make changes later.
- New residents: this form must be received within 30 days of establishing residency.
- Note that the student must be 5 years of age before December 1st of the current calendar year. You will need to provide proof of age (birth certificate) and proof of residence.
