Dear NYC Principals and Administrators,
As the summer season approaches, it is now time to sign up your students with IEPs for busing during the summer. The application opens today.
Important notes:
- Busing for the summer session begins on Tuesday, July 1, 2024.
- The deadline to apply for summer busing for your students is May 13. Entries made between May 13 and May 19 will result in delays. After May 19, any changes will need to be be submitted to your CSE.
How to apply:
- Your school’s complete transportation (Busing and MetroCard) roster has been added to the application. You can now initiate requests for both curb-to-school (Special Ed.) busing and MetroCards for the summer.
- Enter your summer start/end date.
- Indicate which students will be attending summer school and on which dates. Only students with IEPs mandating transportation will receive busing during the summer.
- NOTE: If an IEP student is missing from your list, contact the Committee on Special Education (CSE) liaison for the district in which the student resides. A citywide list of CSE liaisons can be found HERE.
