Dear Principals and Administrators,
Reminder: The deadline to complete a Summer EBT enrollment on behalf of your NSLP-eligible students is June 28. If this deadline is not met, eligible students enrolled at a religious or independent NSLP approved RA school location will not be able to apply for or receive 2024 Summer EBT benefits. For more information, please see our prior memo.
Please see below for important updates:
School Food Authorities (SFAs)
- The “Summer 2024 EBT for Religious and Independent NSLP Approved Schools – ONLY 2023-24 Form” continues to be available in the Information Data Exchange (IDEx) application, on the NYSED Business Application Portal.
- Only a School Food Authority (SFA) or Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of an SFA has access to the form in the IDEx application. Please see the guidance for step-by-step, click through directions.
- The SFA must collect all partnering RA forms (if applicable), combine all individual forms to create one complete and final form that contains all required student and parent information from all individual RA school locations to submit via the IDEx application.
- The CEO or SFA must submit the “Summer 2024 EBT for Religious and Independent NSLP Approved Schools – ONLY 2023-24 Form” on behalf of all partnering RA/religious or independent school locations.
- If the SFA receives a submission error notice, this means that some or all form fields are not completed correctly as per the guidance. In that instance, please review the error report produced on IDEx, work with the appropriate RA lead, correct the errors, and resubmit the file.
Recipient Agencies (RAs)
- Partner and reach out to your SFA Lead.
- Obtain a blank “Summer 2024 EBT for Religious and Independent NSLP Approved Schools – ONLY 2023-24 Form”. (Remember the CEO or SFA with entitlements can access, download, and email a blank form to each partnering RA/school location).
- The RA must complete all data fields for each individual student enrolled at every religious or independent approved RA school location as per the guidance.
- The RA much return the completed file to your SFA.
