Dear NYC Principals and Administrators,
Please see below for a message from the Office of Nonpublic Schools (ONPS) regarding the Title I end-of-school-year inventory certification.
ONPS has collaborated with Third-Party Providers (TPP) to complete the Title I end-of-school-year inventory certification process in your school. This partnership aims to streamline the certification process and ensure comprehensive and accurate inventory records for Title I compliance.
As part of this initiative, TPP staff will be responsible for completing the Title I inventory certification. They will update and upload any inventory items not listed in TAARIS (Targeted Achievement Accountability Reporting Information System) and ensure that all furniture, technology, and books are included in the inventory.
Starting next school year, ONPS will be expanding the inventory count and certification to encompass all DOE items in the school. This expansion aims to enhance accountability and transparency in inventory management across all DOE assets. This includes all items purchased using grant funds such as NYSTL, SSBA, Title IV, etc. Your school, with support from ONPS, will be responsible to conduct the inventory count and certification process.
These initiatives will not only facilitate the Title I inventory certification process, but also provide valuable insights and improvements for inventory management in your institution. TPP staff will adhere to all school policies and procedures during their completion of the certification.
