Dear New York City Principals and Administrators,
On Monday, August 15, the Mayor announced that effective September 13, 2021, all city employees must have proof they are vaccinated, or if not vaccinated, be tested for COVID-19 on a weekly basis. This guidance will apply to employees working in DOE-contracted early childhood programs and family child care programs affiliated with DOE-contracted Family Child Care Networks. It is our understanding that this includes UPK “Pre-K for All” programs and “3-K for All” programs.
Note: Employees who have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine by September 13th will not have to submit weekly test results while they complete their full vaccination.
To search for vaccination locations, click here. Alternatively, you can call 877-VAX-4-NYC.
If you choose to be tested weekly, a diagnostic PCR test will be required. Rapid PCR tests are acceptable. To find a testing location, click here.
As always, feel free to reach out to [email protected] with any questions.
