While some of our schools are off for winter break, and nearly 500 people enjoyed a week of Torah study in Israel at Agudath Israel’s Yarchei Kallah program, many of our schools celebrated National School Choice Week.
In the courts, we celebrated a victory for religious freedom in a landmark end-of-life case related to the definition of death and the issuing of a death certificate. To read the decision and learn more about the background of the case, click here.
Finally, earlier this week, the Jewish holiday of Tu B’Shvat also marked the 88th anniversary of the first Siyum Hashas – the completion of the seven-and-a-half year cycle of the daily study of Talmud. Agudath Israel released a short video looking back at that historic event and looking ahead at next year’s celebration.
