About Zahav
When reaching retirement age, individuals often face many important decisions and choices involving Social Security, Medicare, Home Care, and numerous other complex systems. Family members are also in a quandary, often never having dealt with these matters before. To help seniors and their families navigate the road ahead of them, Zahav serves as a trusted resource and referral center.
Zahav aims to help seniors and their families, answer their questions, and guide them to ensure they are equipped with all the necessary information they need to access life-enhancing services and programs. Questions that the Zahav team can assist you with include ones about finding local help for seniors, finding guidance for legal and medical planning, and information about government resources to pay towards healthcare costs. In addition, they are there for you with regard to financial planning questions, such as trusts and wills, or Medicaid.
Zahav is headed by Mrs. Hadassah Waldman, MS, SBL, SDL, who formerly directed senior services for the Boro Park Jewish Community Council. She brings to the position a wealth of experience, which she is applying to the senior community’s needs in the tri-state area and beyond.

Zahav To-Do List

ZAHAV TO-DO LIST
At the Zahav Estate and Financial Planning Event, each attendee received an 11” × 17” ZAHAV TO-DO LIST – MAGNETIC WHITEBOARD, designed to help Seniors and their families stay organized, connected, and supported.
PURPOSE OF THE WHITEBOARD
For Seniors
Use the Zahav To-Do List to write down areas where a “helping hand” would be beneficial.
Examples include:
- Event reminders
- Transportation
- Shopping lists
- Medical needs
- Household maintenance
- Financial matters
- Technology assistance
- Miscellaneous tasks
Place the whiteboard in a visible location as a gentle reminder—for yourself and for those who visit—that support is welcome.
For Children & Grandchildren
When visiting your parents or grandparents:
- Review the Zahav To-Do List together and see if there is something you can help with to make daily life easier.
- Download and print the PDF version of the Zahav To-Do List and use it as a conversation starter to discuss current needs.
- Work together to organize a weekly or monthly plan.
- Share the list with siblings or other family members and collaborate on who can assist with each task.
This simple tool encourages meaningful conversations, shared responsibility, and peace of mind for the entire family.
