In early December, PCS, a division of Agudath Israel, held a masters in accounting networking event celebrating the 17th anniversary of the PCS/Fairleigh Dickinson University (FDU) MS in Accounting program, rated as a best Masters in Accounting by Eduniversal and rated as a best university by Forbes. Hundreds of alumni who are now successful accountants, businessmen, CFO’s, senior managers, and controllers, converged to network and show their appreciation to Professional Career Services and Fairleigh Dickinson University.

“It was such a pleasure to see so many of FDU-PCS accounting graduates and former students at the accounting networking event, some of whom go back to the very first cohorts started in 2005,” said Ron West, chairman of the accounting department at FDU. “This program is truly a life changing career oriented program that has such a positive impact on the lives of so many in the communities that we serve.”

PCS was pleased to host a panel on “Guiding Clients and Companies Through the New Economic Realities.” Panelists included: Jacob Lerner, principal, director of tax at Fasten Halberstam; Yanky Rosenberg, founder/ partner at Bernath and Rosenberg, and Zvi Zicherman, managing partner at LTC Ally. The answers and practical tips resonated with the accounting alumni.

“It was a gratifying and humble experience to see the incredible turnout and the outpouring of appreciation at the Masters in Accounting Alumni Networking event,” stated Rabbi Daniel Soloff, national director of PCS. “With a 98% employment rate, it was a great pleasure to see how successful our alumni have become and what a difference they are making to their communities.”

“The camaraderie, friendship and professional relationships, all blended into one,” concluded alumnus Azi Mindick, CFO at Riverside Abstract, “to create a unique and positive energy.”
